3B DNA Model

The 3B DNA Model is suitable for a classroom or learning environment, allowing the user to build the first part of a protein lysozyme by following the assembly instructions. The bonds are all colour coded to signal the different types of connections, as are the multiple types of atom centres. The model stands at approximately one metre high, making it an interactive and highly visible tool for learning.

Features of the 3B DNA Model

• Model is suspended on a nylon line between two wooden plates
• Straight-forward assembly instructions enable user to build the DNA code for the first part of a protein lysozyme
• All components are colour-coded for easy identification
• 15 base pairs make up one and a half turns of the helix
• Green and white tubes for covalent and hydrogen bonding respectively
• Eight types of atom centres in five colours
• Contains over 1000 atom centres
• Approx. 1 metre in height
