The Basic Casualty Simulation Kit I provides a great way to get started in simulated injures.

Bleeding and Non-Bleeding Wounds

The kit contains bleeding wounds, designed to give trainees a sense of reality when dealing with injuries in an emergency. The bleeding wound is a compound fracture tibia, and includes a reservoir bag with a pump assembly to provide a realistic sense of bleeding with this injury.

The kit also features non-bleeding wounds – 12 assorted stick-on lacerations and open fracture wounds – to give trainees a good level of training on how to deal with these kinds of injuries.

These injuries are great for repeat practicing of bandaging and splinting techniques – the wounds can be reused.

Make-Up Accessories

The kit also contains a range of make-up accessories, designed to give volunteers a realistic appearance of injured people and give medical emergency training a sense of realism. The kit contains:

• 1 x atomiser mist sprayer
• 1 x bottle of coagulant makeup blood
• 1 x package of blood powder - for 4.5 litres of simulated blood
• 1 x casualty simulation wax
• 1 x package of broken Plexiglas - simulating glass embedded wounds
• 4 x grease paint colours - white, blue, brown and red
• 1 x package of methyl cellulose - for blood thickening
• 1 x body adhesive - for stick on wounds
• 3 x spatulas
• 3 x tongue depressors
