Canola (Brassica Napus ssp. Oleifera) Model

The Canola Model is a 12x life-size, 3-part replica of this brassicaceae flower, formerly known as Cruciferae. Unique in the plant world for having 4 petals, the model clearly reflects the bloom that does not follow Fibonacci’s sequence.

Ideal for teaching the formidable “Triangle of U” concept, one petal is removable for detailed study of the sepal and stamen. A ripe pod, magnified 3x life-size is depicted in cross section alongside the flower and is removable from base for handling and inspection.
