Gyroscope

The Gyroscope uses high quality precision to demonstrate gyroscopic laws through practical experiments. The shaft can be tilted and rotated while attached to a stand rod with a disc mounted on dual ball bearings. A moveable counterweight is positioned opposite to create equilibrium and the thumb screws allow the apparatus to be finely adjusted. A readable scale allows for the measurement of the angle of inclination of the shaft while a spirit level ensures it is reset to a level position after each use. The rotation is nearly frictionless and can continue for a length of time. The open construction of the equipment enables full observation of the process.
