Lenz's Law Copper Tube

Lenz's Law Copper Tube is used to demonstrate the effect of eddy currents, illustrating how an opposing magnetic field can be used to slow a free-fall of a magnet. A magnet and a small steel cylinder are dropped down the copper tube but will fall at different speeds. The eddy current formed by the magnet creates resistance against the magnet and therefore slows its descent. Two plastic caps are also provided so the copper tube can be used as a storage container as well.
