Lorentz Force Apparatus

Explaining the power of magnetism is far more effective when it can be shown. The Lorentz Force Apparatus uses a powerful "U" shaped magnet in order to do precisely this. An axle is placed on brass railings and the force between the electrical circuit and the current forces the axle to move. The direction is altered when the current is reversed. Secured by 4mm safety sockets with the axle constructed from brass, the apparatus very clearly demonstrates the relationship between a magnetic field and an electrical current.
