Teltron Maltese Cross Tube S

The Teltron Maltese Cross Tube S is a highly evacuated electron tube with a divergent electron gun, a fluorescent screen and a Maltese cross partially obscuring the screen. The lack of magnetic or electrical field demonstrates the straight line projection of the electrons as the shadow of of the cross is displayed on the screen.

Students studying electron optics can use the Maltese cross tube by introducing a magnetic field using the Helmholtz Coil S. The apparatus is suitable for examining areas such as beam focusing.
