Suitable for use in extra-low and low voltage experiments, the Rheostats use slide-contact resistors of a high current-bearing capacity housed in a safe-to-touch shell. The variable resistors are in a shock-proof casing and have built-in earth sockets for safety. The rheostat can be used as a variable series resistor, setting power levels, a fixed resistor or even a voltage divider.
