newton's colour disc 

The Newton's Colour Disc is a plastic, circular disc with segments coloured red, orange, yellow, light green, dark green, light blue, dark blue and violet, for demonstrating additive combination of colours.

When the disc is turned rapidly, the colours fade to white, showing that light is not colourless, and that white light is made up of all the colours of the spectrum. The disc can be combined with the Motor with Drive Control to spin the disc at a constant speed rather than manual spinning.
