Teltron Maltese-Cross Tube D

The Teltron Maltese-Cross Tube D is a high vacuum electron tube. A divergent electrode gun is aimed at a fluorescent screen, partially obscured by a Maltese cross. The lack of magnetic or electrical field demonstrates the straight line projection of the electrons by displaying the shadow of the Maltese cross on the screen. 

The tube is suitable for students studying the fundamental science of electron optics when a magnetic field is introduced using the Helmholtz Coil D.
