Ultrasonic Doppler Apparatus

The Ultrasonic Doppler Apparatus is a control unit for conducting ultrasonic Doppler experiments. Detecting scattered waves and generating an audio signal at a volume that reflects reflected wave amplitude, the apparatus also generates a frequency that reflects the speed of the scattering. Radiated or scattered waves from moving particles or bubbles in fluid flow allow the apparatus to detect the Doppler shift in frequency. The amplitude is also displayed on an LED bar display and sensitivity and volume are both adjustable. The controller can also pass on data to a PC for detailed recording and evaluation, Windows OS software is supplied for data evaluation and analysis. During measurement the current LF Doppler signal is displayed. Evaluation is by means of a Fourier transformation in the frequency domain and the result can be interpreted as the distribution of velocity within the flow.
