Cubic Magnet Model

The Cubic Magnet Model is very similar to the Hexagonal Magnet Model. Visibly demonstrating the properties of the crystal lattice of ferromagnetic materials, the model uses free-moving magnetised needles positioned in a cube arrangement and supported between two transparent plates.

The magnet is specifically designed to display the features of Weiss domains, Barkhausen jumps, saturation, hysteresis and Curie temperature with the use of an overhead projector. The model provides a clear and visible way of displaying the properties of the magnetic materials.
